Short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) are fatty acids play a crucial role in gastrointestinal health and have diverse physiological functions in the body. They are typically produced when the friendly gut bacteria ferment fiber in your colon and are the main source of energy for the cells lining your colon.

Kijani Asia is in process of developing Short Chain Triglycerides from naturally produced short-chain fatty acids. Our bioprocess is highly specific and allows us to the select targeted fatty acid chain length only for our oil. Our initial SCT oil will be based on C4 and C6 fatty acids. This SCT oil can be used as a health supplement, and for some industrial applications.

Using the same technology, we are also able to bio-create other oils (triglycerides) with a targeted fatty acid composition.
